July 2009- Deer Park Remarkable aka "Remi" arrived safely in Storr, CT and begins her life with our friend Stacey Stearns. Pictures to follow soon!

Remi's big brother Smithsonian aka "Ian" will be making the trip to Santa Barbara with his owner and trainer Mallory after winning both of his classes at the Wheat State Regional and placing in the top 2 at Circle J. He is improving with every class and he LOVES the outdoor show ring. (photo of Mallory and Ian working at home  from May 2009)

June 2009: This photo was taken the week of "Stevie's" (Ribbon in the Sky) first birthday. She is recovering from a very traumatic accident.  For now, we are just happy to have Stevie with her bright eyes and her incredible athletic physical self and we know that she is going to get through this. She still has her lower jaw wired and her baby teeth appear to have kept that anchored. New xrays and new decisions for next steps will be made by the end of June if all goes well.  We're all hopeful that her recovery will lead to us being able to move Stevie to Laramie and start her lessons with Mallory - when, of course, she is ready.

We wanted to thank everyone who have sent the kindest notes - and who have kept Stevie in their prayers. Keep up the energy and positive thoughts ... it all matters.
Very special thanks go to Dr. Robert Parker and Charity Cook, his vet technician, who have done such a great job putting this filly back together and continuing her recovery steps.

May 2009: Leah (Blythewood Acappella) is safely in foal to WC Treble's Tanqueray with her 2nd of this cross. We liked the results SO much we bred her back for a repeat!

March 2009: News from David Macmillan, trainer of our stallion, A Better Soldier-"Soldier is doing great and responding well to training.  He loves his new home and I find him chatting often to his new friend next door - a very sweet gelding.  He  is still using his inside voice more willingly which is great.  He is  offering a little more under saddle now which is good too.  His   condition is magnificent - muscular yet sleek."

"Horse Illustrated and their readers have nominated me and Winston as    people's choice dressage horse of the year which is fun.  They are    going to run an article about me and him which is fun.  He also won all the national and regional awards at Int 2 level.  He is going into   GP this season.  So fun!!" - David

The following Snowview Morgans found new homes in 2008:

Fenway Park (The Phantom Of The Opera x Blythewood Acapella) 2005 chestnut gelding. Athletic as he is handsome, willing and intelligent. His father's son in many ways. Congratulations to Kristi Haines of Marshfield, MA. on the purchase of this fine youngster.

Smithsonian (Deer Park Graphic Design x Quail Run Dominique) 2006 bay stallion.  Sired by one of the most beautiful sons of Mt. Laurel Maximillian and out of a great producing daughter of I Will Command, "Ian" is the best of both. Destined to grow beyond 15.2 hands. Kind, smart and fun. Congratulations to Mallory Mignot of Laramie, WY on the purchase of this young quality stallion.

Deer Park Remarkable (Deer Park Graphic Design X Quail Run Dominique), 2007 bay filly. "Remi" came into this Earth with her big eyes, her big trot and her big loving heart. Congratulations to Stacey Stearns on the purchase of this outstanding mare.

December 2008- Rum Brook Immortal Cachet arrived in December after making the trip from Massachusetts to Nevada with Jim Coombes, who took great care of her. "Shay" was born in 2000 at Rum Brook Farm in Epping, NH. She is very closely related to one of my first mares, Rum Brook Victoria who was a half sister to Immortal and she has the looks of Torrie's daughter, d'Vision who was double Vision and Flash blood. Cachet came from Blackthorn Morgans where she was a family friend and produced one gorgeous colt in '08 by their nice stallion Frederique. She was a great mother and she is just beautiful. Thanks to David Ladd and his family for making it possible for Shay to come to Snowview.

November 2008: Deer Park Remarkable is the last foal from the INCREDIBLE "I Will Command" daughter, Quail Run Dominique. Dom has been living at Wes and Rebecca Hompe's Deer Park Farm and over the past 5 years produced three incredible full siblings all sired by Deer Park Graphic Design. These were also Dom's 11th, 12th and 13th foals!! She is an incredible broodmare!! "Remi" came into this Earth with her big eyes, her big trot and her big loving heart. Becky and I did some trading because I had wanted a daughter from this cross- and she had both of them. I had the colt, Smithsonian who was purchased by Mallory Mignot, head trainer at Mears Morgans in Wyoming.  Mallory and Ian are making a great team already and have a great future ahead.  With Ian's size and handsome good looks we see roses in their future. And I also had the Graphic daughter Grace, and so we worked it out.

Then our dear friend, Stacey Stearns mentioned that it was clear that her darling "Johnny" was not going to be big enough for her long legs. When I asked if she thought Remi would be she lit up like a Christmas Tree! YESSSSSSSssssssss!! And so we have worked it out and when the time comes Holly will still have a chance to breed Remi and produce the next generation of beautiful, big and athletic offspring and in the meantime Stacey has a fabulous candidate to bring along slowly, take dressage lessons with, and develop a life long friendship with.

The sidebar to this is that Stacey was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkins lymphoma in September. She has begun her treatments and she is surrounded by family and friends from all corners of New England and around the US. One of Stacey's young riders has set up a website so she can let folks know how she is doing and write notes to her any time they want. We hope you visit Stacey's website and we will keep our friend and her family in our prayers.

Fenway Park (The Phantom of the Opera X Blythewood Acappella), aka "Carl", has worked his way into the heart and and life of Kristi Haines of Mass. and every little girl that comes to the barn at Erin Von Steenburg's for lessons. Carl is only 3 this year but he has the size and depth of body that only makes us smile as we think about the possibilities this handsome, correct and athletic son of Phantom and Leah hold in store for the future.

Kristi is an accomplished young rider with NEMH and USDF Year End awards as well as her first World Championships at OKC in 07. There is nothing more gratifying than selling a horse to such a capable and talented horseman except for being able to say "Thank you Kristi for loving Carl as we do - and for believing in him as we do - we'll be there to cheer for you and Carl as you launch your dressage career for the future." love - holly

September 2008: Fenway Park (The Phantom of the Opera X Blythewood Acappella) is proving to be an exceptional 3 year old in both body and mind. He and his owner, Kristi Haines, are progressing famously with their saddle training and relationship. We couldn't be happier as we watch them grow together and mature into an impressive team.

March 2008: Smithsonian (Deer Park Graphic Design X Quail Run Dominique), 2 year old stallion, is developing into a big and bold athlete in his new home at Mears Morgans. Purchased last winter by head trainer Mallory Mignot for her own personal mount, Mallory is thrilled with his progress, acceptance and work ethic. Under her skilled and accomplished instruction "Ian" is destined to join the ranks of her top quality show string as an up and coming star. Mallory has just returned from OKC Morgan Grand Nationals with the World Champion Jumper as well as a 3 year old mare and a 4 year old gelding who were in the top of their very competitive Jr Hunter Pleasure qualifiers and championships! Congratulations to Mallory and we genuinely look forward to seeing Ian performing.

Spring 2008: New Partners: Fenway Park is getting along famously in Massachusetts with his new owner, Kristi Haines. They are riding and performing well together and Kristi says he is unflappable as he just takes everything in stride. We know their smiles will only get bigger as they grow together.

October 2007: Holly and Fiddler's Camelot (The Phantom of the Opera X Fiddler's Chantilly) at the 2007 Morgan Grand National and World Championship show. In October 2007 I was lucky enough to be in OKC to see Phantom's son win 2(!!) World Championships with his wonderful owner Brooke Alley.

Summer 2006- Deer Park Morgans welcomes Quail Run Dominique (I Will Command x Quail Run Martinique)- We are pleased to have completed the arrangements for Dominique to permanently become a fixture at Deer Park Morgans in Minnesota under the new ownership of Wes & Rebecca Hompe. Dominique and Deer Park Graphic Design (Mtn. Laurel Maximilian x Big Bend Happy Time), just produced a beautiful bay colt, named "Smithsonian", for Snowview this year. We couldn't be happier with this colt and Dominique's new forever home!!

February 2009 update: Dominique has sadly passed on. To read her story, visit her Memorial page.

Summer 2006- Congratulations to Melissa, David & Melissa Mackenzie of Passekeag, New Brunswick, Canada, the proud new owners of Clear Intentions (Futurity First Edition X LCS Fine Crystal), who is fondly known to us as Claire Rose.  Young Melissa is now the third generation of Morgan enthusiasts in this family.

In their first public appearance and competition Melissa and Claire were the star attractions. They excelled together in the gaits of the pleasure classes and the patterns of the equitation workouts. When the weekend was done some of their accomplishments included: 1st in Novice Rider Equitation; 2nd in Novice Rider Pleasure under saddle; 2nd Novice Pleasure Horse; 2nd in Limit Pleasure Horse; 3rd in CMHA Youth Challenge Equitation. Snowview could not be happier in the pairing of these two individuals. We are so proud of how well they are working together and look forward to their bright future and continued success. WAY TO GO GIRLS !!

March 2009 update-Claire is for sale. If someone is looking for a "most beautiful" and "most excellent" Morgan mare to take care of a jr ex rider - both huntseat and western - "Claire" would be perfect! I have info and she is located in New Brunswick - a loving wonderful home of course is a must for this sweet gal. Email me for more info.

Winter 2005- Congratulations to Triple Sweet Morgans, Ed Sweet and Family on their purchase of Equinox Portia! Having just arrived in Nevada a few short months ago, it was tough to let such a wonderful mare leave again. But her new home in the beautiful hills of upstate New York will be a dramatic backdrop for this eye-catching dark mare.
