I purchased Leah from her breeder, Kathy Newcomb of Blythewood Farm in New Jersey, at three months of age. She has grown into a lovely young mare and is all I'd hoped for.
Leah is quite accomplished in the show ring. Her wins include:
2nd Three & Four Year Old Mares In Hand - Maine Morgan Show 2003;
4th Sport Horse Breeder's Cup [71.95%] - Maine Morgan Show 2003;
Junior Champion Mare & 1st Two Year Old Mares - Maine Morgan Show 2002;
Reserve Grand Champion Mare, Junior Champion Mare, and 1st Two Year Old Mares - Granite State 2002.
Leah's first foal is Fenway Park (aka "Carl"), a stunning chestnut colt foaled April 17, 2005, sired by our late senior stallion,
The Phantom of the Opera. Carl's photos can be found on
Phantom's
Memorial page
as well as on our Archives page.
Her second foal is our 2008 bay filly Isn't She Lovely, by World
Champion Treble's Tanqueray. Leah is back in foal to Treble's
Tanqueray for 2010.
Leah is offered for sale to the discriminating buyer as a 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 package. Contact Holly for more info.

"KC" was given her barn name in honor of my sister Katrina Crie.
Katrina was responsible for raising and training and showing KC's mom,
Blythewood Acappella (aka Leah), who I've owned since she was just 3
months old. Leah was a tremendous success in the show ring as a young
mare and she rides and drives. Her first foal (by The Phantom of the
Opera) is Fenway Park (you can see his pictures on our Archives page), and her second foal is this
bay filly, sired by many time world champion Treble's Tanqueray. When Katrina
wasn't able to continue Leah's training, I
wanted to keep Leah on the east coast, somewhere
close enough for Katrina to visit her. I was blessed to have Greg and
Carol Fleck, Tanqueray's owners, offer that Leah could move right up to Vermont and romp the
hillsides there. She will be bred back to Tanqueray in 2009.
KC's future will depend on how she
matures, but with her
unmistakable Morgan good looks and her endearing personality, we look
forward to lots of fun and great things with her as she grows up in the
hills of Vermont. Thanks Greg and Carol!
